Bistec Encebollado

Steak n’ Onions
Ingredients:
·         2 lbs. trimmed steak
·         2 Tbsp. oil (EVOO, Corn or Canola)
·         4 thinly sliced onions
·         2 Cloves garlic, minced
·         1 tsp. black pepper
·         ½ Tbsp Darlene the Gourmet Diva’s Dry Rub (or All-Purpose Seasoning)
·         2 tsp. oregano (Preferably from the Dominican Republic)
·         1/4 cup white wine

According to Darlene The Gourmet Diva:

1.      Combine all ingredients except the onions and rub it onto steaks,
2.      Heat oil in skillet on low, and  sauté the onions for approximately 2 minutes  
3.      Remove onions place in a bowl.
4.       In the same skillet fry the steaks on medium to high heat until meat browns.
5.      Lastly,  top with onions and serve immediately over salad, tostones, white rice, arroz con gandlules or even a simple baked potato
